St. Peters AME Church: My family and I were picnicking at the Riverfront park on beautiful Sunday afternoon. A man approached us with a friendly spirit and began making conversation as if we'd been friends for a long time. That was Isaac Brown, member and assistant to the Pastor at St. Peters AME Church on Sanders Avenue, just off Montague. His father is an AME preacher on John's Island. It's funny that he belongs to a congregation with the name Peter on it, because that's who he reminds me of the most. It is obvious that God is with him and we are very encouraged by Isaac's existence. He has found a way into our hearts. The Lord is with him in a great way.

Christ Temple: Not long ago, at 3 am in the morning, the Lord woke Bishop Levon Smalls and began to speak to him about moving his congregation from Mt. Pleasant to the Park Circle area. One door after another opened and soon, he and his wife Dianna, were leading their flock to Sumner Avenue in North Charleston. The Bishop is serious about seeing the Lord move in our area and he is filled with passion and enthusiasm for the work of the Lord. His lovely wife Diana is simply a ray of Sonshine! It was neat to learn that Bishop Smalls was mentored by Pastor Al Capers, of Living Word in Goose Creek. Personally, Bishop LeVon has been a real encouragement to me in too many ways to type here, but praise be to God for sending him here!

Joy Tabernacle:
The pastor and I have a mutual friend in Pastor William Davis, of Churches United for Change and who also has a vision for unity and revival. The Congregation meets on Spruill Avenue near The Navy Yard. Pastor O'Neil leads this flock. He was very warm and hospitable in our first meet and we look forward to learning more about what the Lord is doing at Joy!

El Shaddai Missionary Baptist:  Pastor Cheryl Mills has a heart and vision for Body unity in this area. Met her at the May 3rd, 08 Prayer Rally and she is passionate about seeing a spirit of prayer grip the community. Her interview for the video was powerful and deeply moving. After quite a number of conversations, I can't ride by El Shaddai and not be heartened. This pastor really is going after the Lord. Also, there is elder Eric Rose, who graduated from my high school when I began as a freshman. He is now a leader here, where he has a deep desire to see the Christian business community to reach out to our young people. This has been a desire of his for some time and he is praying about how to proceed forward with what God has planted inside him.

Holmes Avenue Baptist:
There are a number of friends and family who have been a part of Holmes for many years! My good friend from high school, Jason Weathersby attended here as did an uncle and his family. Holmes Avenue Baptist has greatly supported the last the Park Circle prayer meetings and what a joy it is to have them with us in spirit!

Parkcircleprayer.com is a parachurch and laypeople's effort, not a congregation, with the sole purpose of glorifying the Lord by supporting the divine institutions of the family and local congregation through the facilitation of community-wide prayer events which are led by Christian leaders who are concerned for the souls in the Park Circle - Remount Road and Rivers Avenue Area and who desire to please the Lord by seeking Him together.

It is the ministry" *** "It's one thing to tell somebody what we believe about Jesus, it's quite another to be able to introduce someone to our Best Friend." *** "We are more like Martha than Mary; More like Christian activists, than people of prayer." *** "We need unity in humility found at the foot of the Cross, not prideful uniformity that says: 'Look at us doing God's work'" "There has got to be a practical, excecutable strategy in place for us to dethrone the ministry of Hollywood in our homes and bring families and communities together via corporate prayer inspired by the Spirit. Technology is not the enemy; Our disobedient laziness is the enemy." ***
